I am so sorry for your loss.  I just heard that Susan had passed away.  I worked with Susan at the Cancer Center in the mid-80's.  I always enjoyed working with her.  Your in my thoughts and prayers.  May you find some comfort in your memories.

Susan was a long time neighbor of mine and our children grew up together.  Susan was always full of life and everyone around her had to simile. I was so sorry to hear of her passing, I will keep all of you in my prayers, I know she will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Susan's sudden passing. No matter what the situation that could arise at the Cancer Center, she would always take a deep breath, remain calm, and work on the solution. She helped many a time with budget or grant issues, no matter how busy she might be with other things. She always greeted everyone with a smile. A great lady that will be missed.

To Susan's family: I am still finding it hard to believe that she is no longer with us in the flesh.  However, she will always be with us in spirit.

My feelings for Susan are too numerous to describe.  For some of them, there are no words.  Even though I am the older, she was like a mama, as well as a sister, friend and co-worker.  Always there for you, doing whatever she could to help.



We always had surprises (cookies, cakes, candies).  Beautiful flowers adorned the halls and offices in the Cancer Center.  At Christmas time, it was like Dicken's village came to life in the conference room.

I am sure that each of us has a special moment or incident  that we will cherish, forever, but the most important legacy that she leaves us is, LOVE!

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, loves leaves a memory no one can steal. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers!

It was with great sadness hearing of Susan's passing. Working the past 13 years in  the department of Tissue Procurement for the Cancer Center, I have  such fun memories of Susan, her laughter and her hard work. Please know I am thinking of each of you and will miss Susan greatly.

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Susan's passing.  She was such a special person...a great coworker who treated us like family, who kept us focused and who made us productive.  She also taught us about priorities, and family was foremost for Susan.  It was a real blessing to have worked with her and counted her as a friend.  My deepest condolences.  You and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss and I am heart broken by Susan's passing.  Our paths crossed at UAB many years ago and Susan became more that a co-workeer, more than a friend, we became a family at the Cancer Center.  Susan was the glue that held the Cancer Center togehter and she was a stablizing force in all of our lives.  Her spirit filled the halls and guided many a young faculty member toward success.

She will be greatly missed, but her presence will be forever with us.  Please know that my heart and prayer are with your family during this time of grief and sadness.  But through Christ we know that we will one day be with her again in the glory of Heaven.

My sincere condolences to the Parker family.  It was an absolute pleasure to work with Susan at UAB.  I'll never forget the lovely flowers she'd bring in from her garden which she placed in the Director's office for everyone to enjoy.  She will be missed!!  Carolyn

I have just learned the news of Susan's untimely death.  Having been an employee of UAB for 33 years, I worked with Susan for many of the 38 years she was at the Cancer Center.  She was ALWAYS my "go-to" person who could either answer my questions, or find the answers.  And, she became a good friend. It was hard to interact with Susan and NOT become her friend!  My heart breaks for your family at her loss.  She was an exceptional individual, and my life is richer because I knew her.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry for your loss.  We will continue to lift your family up in prayer.  Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
