VINCENT – Vivian LaRue Baker Howell, “Nana”, age 77, of Vincent, passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2018. She was born on July 19, 1940. She was a consecrated Christian and was loved dearly by all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church of Vincent, Al for over fifty years. Vivian was well known for her sewing, baking and her friendly smile. She was a talented piano player, enjoyed reading, listening to southern gospel music and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harvey & Charcie Hurd Dawkins Baker; sisters, Wilma Baker Hatcher and Evelyn Baker Ellison.
She is survived by her four children, Terry Kincaid (James), Randy Howell (Rhonda), Tommy Howell, Karen Nicholson (Dexter); 7 grandchildren, Kelley Stewart (William), Kristi Johnston (Clint), Korey Barber, Kari Brooks (Wes), Chasity Howell, Alex Kincaid, Christopher Nicholson; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Melba Baker Reynolds, Mary Baker Duck (Donald).
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpersville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Shane Britt of Hartselle, Alabama will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be William Stewart, Clint Johnston, Korey Barber, Wes Brooks, Alex Kincaid, Jordan Denty, Christopher Nicholson, Tyler Johnston.
