Connie Mae Prior

Connie was born in Geneva, New York on May 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Carlton and Isabel (Peck) Mortensen. Connie graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1960. She was married to William L. Prior on May 27, 1961 at the Benton Methodist Church. She was employed as the secretary for WFLR Radio in Dundee until her retirement in 2004. Connie was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church, the Dundee Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, the Night Owls Home Bureau Club, and the Red Hat Society.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William L. Prior; her children, Kevin (Cindy Meyers) Prior, Craig (Susan) Prior, and Vicki (Bob Forman) Howell; her grandchildren, Leigh (Derek Battin) Howell, Taylor Howell, and Nathan Prior; brother, Donald (Veronica) Mortensen; cousins, Eleanor (Robert) Bayles, James Parker, Dorothy Bill, and Joyce Coon; and her caregiver, Mary J. Clancey. In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her aunt, Margaret Prendergast and several other family members.

Friends and family may call from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, January 27th at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28th at 2pm with the Rev. Marilyn Wood.
