Gregory was born on September 24, 1961 in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of the late Marion and Clarence E. Miller. He was a 1980 graduate of Penn Yan Academy. Greg was employed for over 30 years as a foreman for Chrisanntha Corp. in Gorham, NY.
As a devoted husband and family man, he was an inspiration to everyone he came across. He was a pillar in the community, and the first person to offer a helping hand. He always had a smile, a joke and a story to tell. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He was very involved with the 1st Baptist Church of Penn Yan, where he served on many boards and committees. Greg cooked every Wednesday for the concert in the Courtyard with help from his sons for many years. Greg was also a board member for Keuka Housing Council for 28 years.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Tammy of Branchport, sons, Erik and Kyle Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Renee (Sanford) Bloom of Bluff Point and their children, Jonathan (Megan and daughter, Harper), Matthew (Jennifer) and Michael Bloom; brother and sister-in-law, B. Scott (Susan) Miller of Newton, MA and their children, Benjamin and Lauren Miller.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, August 30th, 2018 at 3pm at the First Baptist Church, 224 Main St., Penn Yan, NY 14527. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s memory to the First Baptist Church or to the Miller Scholarship at Keuka Housing Council.
