Harold Pedder

Harold Pedder, 92, passed away on Saturday October 13, 2012 at The Homestead.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday October 17, 2012 at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Harold’s funeral service will take place at 2:00pm with Rev. John Busch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harold’s name to The Homestead, 418 N. Main St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Harold was born on May 25, 1920 to the late Harry & Jane Neil Pedder in Barrington, NY. He was in the Army, Navy & CC camp in Watkins Glen. Harold also drove truck for Howard Express, Penn Yan Express and he also worked for the steel mill. He was a member of the Penn Yan Moose Club, Penn Yan VFW, Penn Yan American Legion & Seneca Lake Duck Hunters.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Robinson Pedder; daughter Judith E. (Edward) Hicks of Penn Yan; sons Michael E. (Cindy) Pedder of Oregon and James A. (Cynthia Lucy) Pedder of Penn Yan; daughter-in-law Genny Pedder of Oregon; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He has gone on to be with sons Harold & Kelly Pedder; brothers Burt & James Pedder; sisters Georgina Farey Pedder, Charrolte Dean Pedder & Emily Cartwright Pedder.

Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. With many family and friends, he will always be loved and greatly missed.
