

Ward was born in Antesfort, PA on September 28, 1924, the son of the late Frank and Ruie Alice (Confer) Stout. Ward served in the US Marine Corp from 1942 to 1952. He received his High School Diploma from Jersey Shore, PA. He worked as a railroad dispatcher in Lyons, Geneva, Penn Yan, Dresden, Rochester, Hornell, NY and Altoona, PA. He was married to his late wife, Rosemary Ann Crisci in 1950. He was a member of the Railroad Alumni, Marine Corp League, the Penn Yan VFW, the Johnson-Costello American Legion, the Penn Yan Moose Club, and the Penn Yan United Methodist Church.
Ward is survived by his sons, James (Marsha) Stout of Dundee and Jerry Stout of Summerville, SC; former daughter in law, Patricia Stout; grandchildren, Nicole Stout Boyd of FL, Jaimi (Scott) Shoemaker of Broussard, LA, Jacob (Jessica) Stout, Jonathan ( Jennifer) Stout, Rebecca and Danielle Stout all of SC; great grandchildren, Anthony Boyd, Nicholas Boyd, Layla Stout, Emma Stout, and Benjamin Stout; his sister, Sherry (Jake) Erisman of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ward was predeceased by his loving wife, Rosemary Ann Crisci Stout in 1999; his sisters, Nice Harris and Marianne DiRocco; and his brothers, Jimmy, John, Gene, Russ, and Bill Stout.
Friends and family may call from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, January 16th at Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. His funeral service with Military Honors will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment at the convenience of the family will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan.
