Lamar is the love of my life and will miss him dearly but know he is well now and I will see him again and I see him in all different ways in my sons and know in them he lives on...Love him

When I told Uncle Lamar it took me two years to figure out the "L" and "R" on the bottom of the post office box bank did NOT mean "Lamar" and "Rosie", but "left" and "right" for the combination to open it, he asked me, "Who ties your shoes for you in the mornings?"  Uncle Lamar always treated me with the same candor as my other cousins and I always respected him.  I miss him.

Lamar meant so much to both of us as a great friend.  He was so much fun to be around.  We enjoyed all our times and Saturdays with Linda and Lamar

We will miss Lamar - his sense of humor and his laughter. Enjoyed our fish fries with him, cruises, and just knowing him!  We'll see you on the other side, Lamar!  Linda and family, we will pray for God's peace as you adjust to life without him.

Having Lamar as our friend greatly enriched our lives. We will surely miss him. Linda, you, Robby, Ricky, Z, and the grandkids are continually in our prayers.

We're Deeply saddened to hear of Lamar's passing.  I enjoyed our phone conversations and emails to each other regarding Post Office Doors and Banks.   His banks are a beautiful work of art!  Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

So very sad to hear about his death.  Lamar was a dear friend and a great man.  He always made me laugh. We will miss him greatly.

I read of Lamar's passing this morning. I am so very sorry for your loss. As the prayer in the Greek 
Church says, give rest with the Saints to the soul of Your servant where there is neither pain, grief, nor sighing but life everlasting." May his memory be eternal.
