Ann Lee

Ann Lee (Anastasia Patshy) of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2017 in her home surrounded by family. Ann moved to Pensacola, FL from Glossa Scopelos, Greece in 1949. As a teenager, Ann was an amazing opera singer in Greece. Her family was Greek Orthodox and they moved to the United States in 1949 to start their business. The family owned grocery store named G & P Groceries was located on South 9th Avenue in the Hawk Shaw area of Pensacola, Florida for 40 years. Our mother enjoyed family gatherings and always enjoyed “the little ones”. She loved cooking, gardening, and needlepoint stitching. Our Mother met her now deceased husband of 59 years, our father, and they raised a family of 8 children. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, George Patshy and Alice Patshy (Smith); her brother, Steve Patshy; her sister, Mary Jane Dubs and her 2 grandchildren, William Warrick, Jr and Dillion King. Our Mother is survived by her 2 sisters, Kerasia Orfanos and Kati Falco; her 8 children, Alice Reneau, Maria Smith, Gena Lee, Lisa Frech, Georgia Smith and Susan Estep; her 2 sons, Leonard Lee, Jr. and Gregory Lee; her 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Over all, our Mother was loving and caring and had a blessed life. We loved her dearly and now she’s with Jesus. The family will be receiving friends at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. The funeral service will be in held at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Phil Futoran.
