1937-2015
Betty Edson, 78, of Pensacola, Fl went to be with Jesus, her Savior, in Heaven, on Sunday, November 8, 2015, with loved ones at her side.
She was born August 22, 1937 in Shiloh, AL to Conolie and Velma Johnson. She retired from Monsanto as a chemical operator. She was a member of Northridge Church and served as a greeter and member of Joy Fellowship. She shared her faith and love of Jesus and enjoyed participating in the outreach ministry of visiting those in hospitals, nursing homes and rehab centers. She was loving called “Nana Red” by her grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by: her parents, and brother Fred Johnson.
Betty is survived by: her loving husband, Roger Edson; her daughter, Vicky (Cory) White, her stepsons, Tim (Cheryl) Edson, and David (Christy) Edson; her sisters Virginia (Howard “Pete”) Frye and Dimple (Grady) Overstreet, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10 am – 11 am at Eastern Gate Funeral Home with services following with Pastors Randy Hamil and Darel Eubanks presiding.
