Daniel Herbert Royals, age 83, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. He was born June 10, 1927, in Holmes County, Florida. He was retired from Naval Air Station Pensacola. Daniel loved fishing, picking up leaves, mowing his yard and friends and family stopping in to talk in the garage (his window on the world).

Beloved husband, father and grandfather is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlene; sons, Danny and Drew; daughter, Teresa; his grandchildren, Joshua Sr., Jeremiah, TJ, Danielle and Dalton; his great grandchildren, Joshua Jr. and Dorothy Mae; and countless extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 06, 2011 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola. Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park with military honors.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Cardiac Care Unit at West Florida Hospital and his faithful nurses and all of his doctors.

The family will receive friends and family at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice. The family suggests St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Escambia County Search and Rescue, The American Red Cross or the Salvation Army.
