Darline's Sister's shared this about her:
Darline was not only my big sister, she was my protector. From the day our mom passed away in 2000, she raised me to be the woman I am today. While her life was short lived, she left a major impact on everyone's life she encountered. Darline was, caring and the most humble person I've known. She raised five wonderful children with her husband. Everyday I spoke to my sister and reassured her how amazing a mother she was. There are so many memories that I will keep near and dear to my heart until the day God calls me home.My sister is with our mother watching over those she loved most. I will love and miss her always and forever. My beautiful Haitian queen.
A verse from our favorite song Whitney Houston-My love is your love
If I lose my fame and fortune (really don't matter)
And I'm homeless on the street (on the street Lord)
And I'm sleeping in Grand Central Station (okay)
It's okay if you're sleeping with me
As the years they pass us by (the years, the years, the years, the years, the years)
We stay young through each other's eyes (each other's eyes)
And no matter how old we get
It's okay as long as I got you baby
'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And chains of Amistad couldn't hold us.
Darline's sons shared that she always gave unconditional love, no matter how much they messed up. Her daughters said she was a great teacher and fun to around. She will be missed.
Her Mother-in-Law said she was the only one for her son and she will love, appreciate and never forget her.
