She was born in Sacramento, California on October 6, 1950. She served in the army and eventually moved to Cantonment, Florida.
Debra enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing and many other hobbies. Deborah is preceded in death by her late husband: Larry Hughes Sr; son, Michael James Hughes; and granddaughter, Sabryna Hughes Gilley.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen McDaniel; son, Larry Hughes Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Hughes Marshall (Danny); four grandchildren and six great grandchildren (and another due in just a few weeks); and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Debra will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
