A proud graduate of Pensacola High School, Class of 1966, Diane began her journey in Pensacola before moving to Dallas, Texas, shortly after graduation. Dallas would become her home for more than 40 years, where she built a successful career with Fannie Mae, serving as a dedicated and respected underwriter. Upon retirement, she returned to Pensacola, the place that always held her heart.
In her spare time, Diane found joy in giving back to her community. She volunteered with emergency response efforts (Community Emergency Response Team) and supported various nonprofit organizations, always eager to help where she was needed. She also had a true talent for finding a good deal, a pastime she enjoyed and shared with those around her.
She is survived by her loving mother, Agnes Stafford; her brother, Larry Stafford and his wife Rhonda; her younger sister, Debi Pruitt; her younger sister, Lisa Mabrie and her husband Tommy; her nephews, Dagan Stafford and Michael Mabrie and his wife, Elizabeth; her nieces Shay Collins; Lauren Johnson and her husband, Trey; Jordan Pruitt; and Haley Pasko and her husband, Jason; as well as a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, an uncle, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie (Bill) Stafford. Diane will be sorely missed by all who knew her, especially for her infectious laugh, generous spirit, and the warmth she brought into every room.
A service celebrating Diane’s life will be held on Friday, January 2nd with visitation at 10am and the service to follow at 11am at Bayview Fisher-Pou at 3351 Scenic Hwy.
