Elsie Elaine Dippolito born March 13, 1945 to Wilbur Eugene Pinkston and Lucille Emma Gilman (Stepfather Andrew Kertis) passed away on April 14, 2021 at the age of 76 in Pensacola, FL after battles with serious medical issues in recent years. She showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite her pain, Elaine was heroic and stayed strong until the end.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Brian Bachurek, Donald Dippolito Jr., and Antoinette Nunez; Grandchildren: Aaron, Justin, and Collin Nunez and Emma Dippolito; Sister in Law: Judith Pinkston and Brother in Law: Richard Companik, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Patsy Little and Judith Companik and brother: Ralph Pinkston.
Elaine was born in Hammond, Indiana. She graduated high school in 1963 from George Rodgers Clark in Hammond. She joined the US Navy in 1964-1965; based in Pensacola, FL. She worked and retired from Lever Brothers Company in Hammond, IN.
Elaine truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She enjoyed long conversations with friends and family. She loved activities such as swimming, darts, and shooting pool. She never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune or David Muir on ABC World News Tonight.
Elaine shared her love for food with family. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals, especially for her loved ones. She loved to treat herself to a steak and lobster and couldn’t resist a sweet treat from Andy’s frozen custard.
Private services for immediate family will be held in Pensacola, FL. A memorial celebration will he held on Saturday June 12, 2021; 2pm -6pm at the Elks Lodge; 1521 119th Street, Whiting, IN 46394. Please join us to celebrate her life, share fond memories, and remember a woman who will be greatly missed.
