Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, George Ross Gillette. The couple owned and operated Gillette Drugs in Pensacola for almost 50 years.
Evelyn was a devoted wife who enjoyed the many friends she and George made while working together in their business. She also loved to sew and liked nothing better than making outfits for her grandchildren in their younger years.
Evelyn is survived by son, Ron Gillette of Pensacola; daughter Verona Kendall of Savannah, GA; daughter Michelle Sellers of Suffolk, Va; five grandchildren and one great grandson. Also surviving are two sisters: Marie Darbyshire and Pearl Pape, as well as one brother Billy Richerson, all of Pensacola.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Bayview Memorial Park 3351 Scenic Hwy 90e, Pensacola, FL 32503. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in charge of arrangements.
