Genevieve DeVany Kaiser was born August 31, 1931 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Daniel and Julia McDonell DeVany. She grew up on a farm about nine miles west of Devils Lake. She attended Poplar Grove School and then St. Mary's Academy, graduating in May 1949. In August of 1949, she began working at Central Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She later worked at the North Dakota School for the Deaf in Devils Lake for 19 years.
On August 18, 1952, Genevieve married Michael J. Kaiser at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Devils Lake. They raised four daughters: Catherine Kaiser, Pensacola, FL; Ruth Kaiser, Sioux Falls, SD; Mary Kaiser, Pensacola, FL; Marjorie Tinch (Ray), Pensacola, FL.
Genevieve was an avid reader and loved Jeopardy! and socializing with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 1994, she moved to Pensacola, FL, and was an active member of the Newcomer's Club and several other clubs and organizations.
Genevieve is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, her parents, brother, and three sisters. She is survived by her children, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

A Mass will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pensacola, Florida.
