Gloria Shingler, 87, of Pensacola, Florida went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.Mrs. Shingler was born November 30, 1928 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania to Robert H. Edelman and Lillian Sobers Edelman. She has been a resident of Pensacola for 52 years. Gloria enjoyed playing cards with her friends, working puzzles and needlepoint. She also enjoyed water aerobics at PSC and was an avid reader. Mrs. Shingler is preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Shingler and son, Brent Shingler.She is survived by her sons, Dale Shingler, his wife Joyce and Terry Shingler, his wife Sharon; daughter-in-law, Karen Shingler; grandchildren, Trevor, Kenzie, Kaycee and Eric; great grandchildren, Blaise, Paisley, Isla and Harper.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday January 02, 2016 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 1555 North Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL 32501.
