Grady E. Faulkner

Grady Eugene Faulkner, Sr., age 85, passed away August 26, 2010. He was born February 23, 1925 in Rock Hill, SC and has resided in Cantonment since 1957. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WWII from 1943 to 1945. He retired from Civil Service at Naval Air Station in 1987.

He is preceded in death by his son, Grady Eugene (Gene) Faulkner, Jr., and his parents, Eugene and Fanny Faulkner.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Faulkner, one daughter, Mary Wilkes, and her husband, Pete, of Bay Minette, AL, two grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) Grace and Jason (Jessica) Wilkes, also of Bay Minette, AL, and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Madison, and Savanna, all of whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by one brother, Jesse (Bobby) Faulkner of Rock Hill, SC, and two sisters, Geneva (Harry) Garner of Gambrills, MD, and Vada (Mike) Manus of Rock Hill, SC.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Eastern Gate Funeral Memorial Home in Pensacola, FL. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ferry Pass United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL.
