James Russell Bourke, better known as Boudreaux, 88, of Pensacola, FL., took his final breath on Wednesday, July 26th. A farewell service in his honor, will be held this Friday, August 4th, 2023 from 10-11am.

Boudreaux was a Retired Navy Man, having fought and served his country for over 40 years. A strong, fun-loving, adventurous man that traveled worldwide to over 50 cities, countries and continents, with Australia being his favorite destination. He was generous to many and very supportive of his family and friends, if he could help in any way, he would. Boudreaux loved meeting new people, going to his favorite restaurants, Saints gameday get togethers and fishing with his son. He had the most amazing green thumb; his vegetables and flowers will be remembered throughout his family, friends and neighborhood. Boudreaux was a loving father to Shane and was a devoted husband to Mary, whom he loved with every fiber of his being until the day she passed. He will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to know him.
Boudreaux was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bourke; grandparents, Eva Fouche, Oscar Bourke, and Celestine Comeau; parents Oliver and Mary; brothers and sisters, Gilbert Thomas (Bootie), Oliver Young (Bud), Evelyn Lois (Tutty), Mary Alma, and Thelma Catherine; niece and nephew, Christie and Russell. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Nikki; sisters and spouses, Hilda Eve (Didgie) and Norman, Gloria Ann (Rooney) and Larry, and Nelda Ruth (Bebe); nieces and nephews, Meme, Donna, Kim, Kelly, Nita Lynn, Gina Lee, Julie, Karen, Thomas, Les, Kurt, and Michael.
In lieu of sending flowers, “Go to your favorite spot; eat, drink and toast to the memories we made” all my love Boudreaux.
