He was born in Pensacola, Florida on July 26, 1943 to James A. and Theresa (Roberts) Johnson. He attended the local schools and graduated from Escambia High School. He also attended Pensacola Junior College and completed numerous continuing education courses during his career at NADEP, Naval Air Station, Pensacola.
Albert loved to fish and was an accomplished SCUBA diver. He also enjoyed traveling, especially long camping trips, reading and solving word problems.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn (Krueger) Johnson and a son, Christopher. He is also survived by his grandsons, Alan (Selena) of Pensacola and Stephen of Hortense, Georgia and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Gregory plus numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Albert.
A memorial service will be held on April 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to the time of the service.
