Jan McLellan Born

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Julia Jackson and William McLellan, sister Judy Walker, and son Robert Wayne (Bubba) Born, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Wayne Born, Sr., Sister, Linda Dortch, and children, Jan Born (affectionately known as Little Jan) and son Tim Born (wife Katherine Nelson-Born), three grandchildren, Lindsey McAllister, Spencer Born, and Rowan Born, and one great grandchild, Tyler Auclair.

She was an active member of the Scenic Hills Church of Christ since 1984.

She was an honors student throughout high school, inducted into the National Honor Society, and graduated with honors from Pensacola High School with aspirations of becoming a physician. Her husband and children became her life instead and she served as a teacher’s aid for the State of Florida public school system for many years.

Her last residency was Solaris Health Care of Pensacola after sharing several years with her husband at Wesley Haven Villa Assisted Living, which she thought of as home.

Sending Jan off to her final home in Heaven, service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Scenic hills Church of Christ with Minister Brent Missildine officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with the service to follow at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of Flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Scenic Hills Church of Christ in Jan’s name. The family would like to express to Solaris Health Care of Pensacola and Emerald Coast Hospice heartfelt thanks for their kindness and care of our mother.
