Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lee Avera, age 67 of Pensacola, will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola. Burial will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Park. Chaplain Ken Griffin will officiate the service under the direction of Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Avera was born February 7, 1951 in Pensacola to Guy Avera and Dorothy Brown Avera. He died May 11, 2018 also in Pensacola. Mr. Avera was a veteran of the US Air Force. For the past 20 years he has been the owner and operator of Avera Home Daycare here in Pensacola. Mr. Avera’s life centered around his wife, children and grandchildren.
Mr. Avera is survived by his wife of 43 years: Janie Avera, one son: Jason Avera and wife Karri of Milton, one daughter: Marcie Avera of Pensacola and three grandchildren: Brittney Avera, Samantha Kozell and Christian Avera.
Visitation for Mr. Avera will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 16, 2018 at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
