John Belon Hudson Jr.

John Belon (J.B.) Hudson Jr., 88, of Pace, FL went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Grandview Assisted Living in Bonifay, FL. He was born June 16, 1929 in Mobile, AL to John and Sarah Ann Hudson.

J.B. married Sarah Jane Thomas of East Pensacola Heights in 1952. They lived in Pensacola and Pace, FL for the majority of their married lives and a short time in Foley, AL.

Willing to serve our country, he joined the U.S. Marines in the beginning of his career.

J.B. retired from the Naval Air Station where he worked in the Aeronautical Engineering Department.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace, FL where he resided for many years. While living in Foley, AL he and Sarah were members of First Baptist Church Gulf Shores. He later attended Mount Pleasant Assembly of God in Westville, FL.

J.B. was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sarah Jane Hudson.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Tracy) Reynolds of Westville, FL and son, Ricky (Tammy) Hudson of Hackberry, LA; grandchildren, Rachael (Si) Locke, Kandyce (Tyler) Jones and Kalyn Hudson (Fiancé Luke Wise); great grandchildren, Taylor and Abel Locke; sisters-in-law, Mildred and Lois Hudson; brother-in-law, Kirby (Merle) Thomas. He was also preceded in death by brothers Ray and David Hudson.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 28th at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with services following at 11 a.m.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and residents at Grandview Assisted Living for their great care and friendship.
