

Margarethe W. Gibson (nee Thumm) of Nuertingen, Germany, born February 27, 1935 was met at Heaven’s gate on May 05, 2013 by her loving husband, Rufus “Hoot” Gibson, with her dancing shoes on.
She leaves behind her beloved son, Willy M. and her daughter-in-love, Margaret D. Gibson (nee Foley); her cherished granddaughter, Margaretta “Maggie” Howell (nee Gibson) and Maureen “Maurie” Crawford (nee Gibson); and very loved grandsons, Adrian Howell and Johnny Crawford. She was also great grandmother to Adrian E. Howell “AJ”, Paul R. Crawford and Gabriella M. Howell, who were the light in her eyes, after losing her husband. She also leaves behind her sister, Elisabeth Puppenberger (nee Thumm) of Nuertingen, Germany; her “self-adopted” sister, Elizabeth Bullard of Pensacola; brother-in-law, Robert Dyer of Pensacola and many family and friends in both the states and Germany. Margarethe was retired from Singer Sewing Machine. She clothed many young children while working for Parisian for over 15 years. She was a long time member of Ferry Pass United Methodist Church and Ashbury Sunday School Class. She loved as she was loved by her church family and will be missed dearly by them. She was a long time member of H2O and enjoyed her “pool family” immensely. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 with visitation one hour prior to the services at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with the Reverend Norman Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ferry Pass United Methodist Church.
