Praise the Lord for the memories of Marilyn Frances Horton Sensei
 
The pastors and congregations of the Japan Baptist Convention wish to express their deepest condolences to the family of Marilyn Frances Horton Sensei upon receiving news of her going home to be with the Lord.
 
The work of Horton Sensei had a splendid impact here in Japan. We express our sincere thanks to the work of Horton Sensei. We also rejoice in the work continued through her family of God. 
 
We give heartfelt thanks to God for your continued prayers on behalf of Japan and for the sake of His gospel mission here.

My husband and I had the pleasure of Frances's company in our home for dinner and an overnight, before she and my husband's sister headed home after one of the Mission Reunions, as well as a breakfast in Pensacola, when we came in to town. She was such an inspiration through her love of the Lord and her zeal in expressing that love. My husband & I will never forget her stories, kindness, and wisdom. I look forward to seeing her again in the Lord's presence.

As we serve in Japan, we are reaping the benefits of the foundations that the earlier missionaries laid forming relationships with pastors and other Japanese believers. Frances was a loyal friend and missionary co-worker in Japan. Each contact with her left you thankful for her friendship and dedication. She poured out her life in love and desire for her Japanese friends, neighbors and students to share the love and grace of God with them. I never saw Frances without a smile on her face.  She loved living and life as well as anyone I have ever known, and what a full life it was!  I will miss her, but not for long.  No doubt she is sharing her smile and experiencing a joyous reunion with so many who are there because of her obedience to God.
