Mary Elizabeth Carlson

MaryBeth Carlson was born on March 2, 1948 to the late Phil and Mary Conners in Ticonderoga, NY. After graduating as Salutatorian from Keeseville Central HS, she went on to earn her BS and MS degrees in Education from SUNY. While attending college, she met the love of her life, Fred, and they both went on to become teachers. They spent over two decades traveling the world through Fred's career in the US Navy before finally retiring to Pensacola, where they raised their two children. In retirement, MaryBeth and Fred enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and neighbors, taking care of their rescue cats, and traveling to NY and MI. MaryBeth also devoted much of her time to taking care of others, both family and friends, and enjoyed gardening.

MaryBeth is survived by her daughter, Erika Kahrs; son, Patrick (Jennifer) Carlson and four "grands", Emelyn, Cate, Andrew and Genevieve; as well as numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Carlson and son in law, Derek Kahrs.

A Visitation for MaryBeth will take place on Friday, Oct 18, 2024 at 11:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:30pm.
