Mary Louise Cripps, age 90, passed away peacefully at home with her family around her on November 17, 2021. She was born in Kinston, AL on September 22, 1931 to Walter and Pennie Caldwell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a longtime Elkette at Warrington Elk’s Lodge. She lived a life full of love, family, friends and laughter.
Louise was predeceased by her husband Bob Cripps of 67 years. She is survived by her three children Linda Shelly of Pensacola, FL, Debbie Davenport (Dave) of Dallas, TX, Robert Cripps, Jr., of Houston, TX; step-daughter Eileen McCormick of Cheshire, MA; six grandchildren, Ashley Trotier (James) of Jacksonville, FL, Lindsay Almond (Tanner) of Dallas, TX, Jacob Davenport (Camille) of Dallas, TX, Brett Davenport (Melissa) of Dallas, TX, Tina Carnley of Pensacola, FL, Ronnie Shelly, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; Seven great-grandchildren; sister Jan Gunniss of Gulf Breeze, FL; sister-in-laws, Avlin Cripps of Boise, ID, and Loretta Burke of Marlborough, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation and reception will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 24, 2021. The service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.
Pallbearers will be Dave Davenport, Jacob Davenport, Brett Davenport, Ronnie Shelly Sr., James Trotier, and Ben Gunniss.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Covenant Care, Pensacola, FL.
