

Mary was born in Jay, Florida to Frederick E. Smith and Ida Mae Higdon Smith. Before her retirement, she was a member of the Escambia County Media Association, Escambia Education Association, Florida Teaching Profession, National Education Association, and the Florida Association for Media Education.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents, Frederick and Ida Mae Smith; husband, Louis E. Rawlins; brother, Howard Eugene Smith; sisters, Agnes L. Watson and Lula Mae Olive.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Steven Edward Rawlins and wife Pam, David Louis Rawlins and wife Jimmie, and William Frederick Rawlins and wife Leigh Ann; grandson, Bradley Steven Rawlins and wife Elyse, and Ryan William Rawlins; granddaughter, Kyliegh Nichole Rawlins; two great-grandsons, Levi and Leo Rawlins; brother, Bodie Jack Smith and wife Myrtice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Nancy Hammond officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
