Mrs. Williams was born February 10, 1930 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Reuben Charlie Barnette and Ethel Mae Carroll Burnette. She was a hardworking mother of six who loved gardening and nature. Mary loved birds and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching them. She was a marvelous cook whose fried chicken, biscuits and pear preserves everyone enjoyed. Mary was a strong woman who owned up to her up mistakes and knew how to stretch a dollar. She will be lovingly remembered for being a loving and wonderful mother, who raised her children to know how to love, be forthright and thrifty.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Morgan and her daughter, Amelia.
Mary is survived by her sons, Fred, Larry, Randy and Dion; daughter, Judy; sister, Juanita Clark; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 with services to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Rick Fountain officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
