He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Jackson “Jack” Rice and Edna Peterson Rice, as well as 3 brothers, Peter, Gary & Scott Rice.
He is survived by his sister, Jackie Rice of Pensacola, nephew Chris Jackson of Foley, AL, Nieces Pam Kristoph of Tallahassee and Jenny Shue of Pensacola. As well as several great- nieces and great nephews. Also special family friend, Ted Germann of Gulf Breeze and cousins, Sandra & Frank Rich of Pensacola.
Michael had a very distinguished career in the Marine Corp, retiring after 22 years.
He moved from Texas back to Pensacola to help take care of his Dad.
Michael was always ready to lend a helping hand and was always joking around because he loved to make people laugh.
He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at Bayview Fisher Pou Chapel on Scenic Hwy, Friday June 1, 2018 with visitation to begin at 2:00 p.m. and services at 3:00 p.m.
