

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nguyen Thi Na, who peacefully departed this world at her home on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the age of 91. A beloved presence, her life was a testament to love, resilience, and devotion.
Ba was born on August 9, 1933 in Ninh Binh (Hanoi), Vietnam. Ba lost her mother and a younger brother at a very young age, but Ba and her father were inseparable her whole life. Many years later, she married Ong Tran Van Tai and moved south to Phuoc Tinh (Vung Tau) before immigrating to America where she and her family built a family grounded in love and unity. They primarily resided in Pensacola, Florida.
Ba was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. Throughout Ba's 91 years, she touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and diligence including taking care of her husband until he lost his battle with cancer in 1995 and her father until his passing in 1998. Ba attended mass daily and was known for her countless dedication to God, her family, and her garden. She was truly a guiding light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ba is survived by her 9 children and their families: Mrs. Luu (Hue) Tran, Mrs. Nguyen (Kim) Lam, Mr. The (To) Tran, Mrs. Qua (Son) Phan, Ms. Hoang Tran, Ms. Oanh (Olivia) Tran, Ms. Loan Tran, Mr. Cong (Dung) Tran, and Ms. Thu Tran. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Ong Nguyen Van Hien and Ba Nguyen Thi To, and her husband, Ong Tran Van Tai.
A celebration of Ba's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 3295 Barrancas Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507. The viewing will take place on Friday, February 14th, at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church after the Mourning Cloth Rite 5:00 pm mass and before the funeral mass on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am. A private viewing for immediate family and close friends will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 6-7:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N New Warrington Rd, Pensacola, FL 32506.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the building fund of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in her honor. A dedicated member since its inception, Ba spent a boundless amount of her free time dedicating her efforts to the church. Rest in peace, Ba! Your spirit lives on in the hearts of those you touched.
