Oscar Edge

August 11, 1923 - October 19, 2012

Oscar left us after 89 years of memories. He went home to Our Lord peacefully with his family at his side. Oscar was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Lonnie Lee Edge and Mattie Fain Edge. Oscar was a longtime resident of Flower Mound/Lewisville Texas before moving with his wife of 62 years to Pensacola Florida. He was affectingly known for his bright yellow –tape measure suspenders which are forever with him for eternity. His wit and humor spread smiles to all who he encountered. He will be missed by family and friends. Proceeded in death by his grandson Jason Lee Edge and son in law Darryl Vernon Payne. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Edge, Sister, Betty Underwood (Odessa, Tx); 2 Sons; Lloyd Lee Edge (SuGee) of Seminole, Fl; Michel E Edge (Jackie) of Pensacola, Fl; daughter, Sonia G Payne of Pensacola, Fl, 2 grandsons John M Edge (Amy) of Denton, TX, Kevin P Edge of Holiday, Fl, 1 Granddaughter Amanda L Davenport (James) of Leechburg, Pa; 9 great Grand children.

Funeral services wil be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Stephen Linck officiating. Pallbearers are Ralph Urbaniak, Joel Smith, Thomas Sutton, and Keith Edwards.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
