We have all lost such a great friend and Aunt. When I was young I also got thrilled when Uncle George and Aunt Pat was coming to visit. They just seemed so interested in everything you said and I never wanted them to go home, and I didn't want to go to bed.I enjoyed them so much. Later as I grew up and visited them, she always made you feel so at home and welcome.  Georgia: I love the picture of her. Thanks for taking care of things for her.

I remember going to their house and watching the blue angels fly. Uncle George would always make me laugh and aunt Pat was just so very nice and kind hearted. It is so sad that they are gone. They will be missed greatly.

Aunt Pat and Uncle George were so much fun to be around! I loved when they would come visit! I am very sad that they are both gone from this Earth, but I look forward to seeing them again one day. I know there was a glorious reunion in Heaven! She will be missed greatly!

I was honored to be Aunt Pat's niece.  She and Uncle George were always a source of constant support and love.   She will always be in my heart

Pat and George were like my second parents when we lived next door to them in Guam. If I had issues with my parents I could always count on them.
They were a big part of my life in Guam and I have always thought about them a times in my life. I was just with my Mom and Dad a few weeks ago and we were talking about them.

Two of my most vivid memories include seeing Aunt Pat and Uncle George at my Grandparents Leaver's home (Woodland Avenue, West End in Birmingham, Alabama) on Christmas Eve. As a child I was fascinated listening to the adults talk. I can still hear Aunt Pat's distinctive voice. The food was so good, the old TV shows that were on come to mind(Petticoat Junction, Andy Griffith and others).

The second was the long conversations we had just a few weeks ago when I drove up to Pensacola. We sat in her small living room, ate lunch nearby, and sat on the "porch" just outside her front door. She told about herself, living abroad when Uncle George was in the Navy, and told stories about changing my diapers a long time ago.
I am so happy that I was able to send photos of Aunt Pat dancing on skates at military bases on the Home Front du She was thrilled that the museum accepted them.ring WWII to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. We hope they may eventually be in one of the new buildings going up next year about the Home Front during WWII.
