Ben moved to Pensacola in 1988 from Peachtree City, Georgia. He worked as a Structural Aeronautical Engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration for many years and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved to fish; build and fly model airplanes; he owned boats, airplanes and motorhomes; has traveled to all the U.S. states, and all over the globe.
Ben is preceded in death by his loving parents; his brothers Jack L. and Frank Davis; and his son Scott E. Davis. He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Davis; his daughter Sandy L. Howard; and three grandchildren.
A visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A Celebration of Life will be from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a reception from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM. A graveside service will occur immediately after the reception from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508.
