Today will be the funeral for my Uncle Rick at NAS Pensacola. He served for 21 faithful years as a culinary specialist and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy. My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Pam, Charlotte, Wil and of course my mom and her sisters and brothers. Rick was a devoted family man, a fantastic baker and chef and a life-long sailor. He lived the motto of once a Chief
Petty Officer, always a Chief Petty Officer and he was an early inspiration for my Naval career. Today, he stands relieved from the pains and duties of the mortal world and I am sure his heaven finds him at sea doing what he loved most. God Speed Uncle Rick.
