

Roger Lawrence Hosmer “Papa” of Pensacola, FL was reunited with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23rd at the age of 71. He was born on August 15, 1953, in Pensacola, FL and spent his entire life living there.
Roger was married to Catherine Hosmer, his best friend and love of his life for over 29 years. He was a dedicated loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend to many. He was always considerate, kind, gentlemanly, and lived his life in praise of his “Father God.”
Roger worked his entire career in the automotive business and spent the last 25+ years as a service and parts director.
He was always doing home projects and had the neatest garage in Pensacola. He was actively involved in cycling riding 3,000 miles a year and enjoyed riding along with the West Florida Wheelman Bicycle Club. Roger was a faithful servant and played an active role as a connect group leader at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Spanish Trail campus.
Roger is preceded in death by his father Wille Williamson and mother Barbara Williamson.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Hosmer, sister Linda Dublinski (Mike), son Brian Hosmer (Beth) and daughter Brittany Riley, along with grandchildren Logan Hosmer and Kalli Hosmer.
The family would like to thank our friends and Church members who offered loving support and prayers. Also, the family is grateful to his oncology team at the Woodlands, along with Vitas hospice, for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Saturday May 17, 2025, at 12:00 pm and a reception will follow the celebration of life.
