Shanon Iris Davis

Shanon Iris Davis was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Cecil Warren Davis and Janice Vilhelmsen. She had a loving twin sister Clare Marie Davis (Virginia), and three brothers Chris Davis (Evie), Kai Davis (Kathe), and Dewitt Davis. Numerous nieces Lauren (Eric), Lily, Kadi (Jonny), two nephews Cory (Heather) and Jeff (Aly). She had many aunts, uncles, and cousins all whom will miss her.

Shanon is preceded in death by her father Cecil Warren Davis (or Dave as he was known) and her mother Janice Vilhelmsen as well as her youngest brother Dewitt W. Davis.

Shanon had a very astute mind and graduated from Pensacola State College, then studied biology at the University of West Florida. Shanon was an avid birder and fisherwoman. She loved and respected nature and was well versed in plant and tree identification. She also worked for many years in the plumbing industry and could discuss any plumbing part that you needed.

Shanon had great compassion for animals, especially her dogs, but cats were often in the mix as well. In earlier years, Shanon was an outstanding softball player and played on a semi-professionals team.

Shanon was loved by many and will be missed. She will be laid to rest next to her parents and brother in McLain, Mississippi and a memorial will be held at a later date.
