Sherri K. Donahoe was born in Pensacola, Florida on April 1, 1969, and her heart was always drawn to the seashore. As soon as she learned to bike she’d take herself to the pier bustling with fishermen and life. She’d wander the beach for hours, searching for the next seashell, the next adventure.
Sherri was so special - she was very creative, fun, and vibrant. We all have so many precious memories with her; she was a gift to all our lives.
She had several love languages, and cooking was just one of them. Anything she made was the best you ever had - it was never “just a sandwich” in Sherri’s kitchen. Her beautiful creations would find their way into your dreams - sweet potato cornbread, gourmet hoagie sandwiches, tacos exploding with flavor, and hundreds more. Her cooking was a small taste of her brilliant mind.
But Sherri’s greatest adventure, and one that she was most proud of, was becoming a mother, a role she was deeply gifted to be. Her two greatest treasures were her two beautiful sons, Johnathan E. Donahoe (“Jack”) and Elliott M. Donahoe. They were the light and joy of her life.
All who knew and loved Sherri were familiar with her long-standing struggles and tried to help her in whatever way they could. While her family and friends never lost hope for restoration and recovery, on April 23, 2026, Sherri was set free. She’s standing in God’s field of freedom now. No shackles or chains. She is restored, redeemed, and reborn. She is kneeling at the feet of the Prince of Peace, the King of Glory!
Sherri will always be remembered for the loving person she was to all who called her Mom, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, and a friend. In addition to her two sons, Jack and Elliott, Sherri leaves behind her siblings, Michele A. Faddis, Eric H. Faddis and Frances F. Tanner, and her extended family - her uncles G. Eric Faddis and E. Noel Faddis and their children, and her nieces and nephews - Bryan B. Jones, Natalie C. Wright, Kristina T. Tanner, Dillon F. Tanner, Harlan P. Faddis, Brockton C. Faddis, and Kaitlyn E. Faddis. She also had great nieces and nephews – Lucy M. Tanner, William R. Tanner, Calvin I. Wright, Cyrus M. Tanner, and two more on the way. Her parents, Charles F. Faddis and Thorunn H. Faddis, predeceased her.
Her family will honor her life at an open ceremony on Friday May 8, 2026 at the Fisher Pou Memorial Chapel at Bayview Memorial Park cemetery at 3351 Scenic Hwy #90E, in Pensacola, Florida. Friends are welcome to join us in a gathering beginning at 1:00 pm.
