Todd spent most of his life in Natchitoches, LA; he graduated from Natchitoches Central High School in 2005 and obtained an associate degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Upon graduation, Todd worked at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center as a radiology aide. He then moved to Florida and became an EMT until he decided to further his education in the medical field. While working as a patient care tech at Sacred Heart and attending Pensacola State College, he earned another associates degree in nursing. He then became an RN at Sacred Heart hospital working in the oncology and intensive care units. He was loved by anyone that crossed his path, including the doctors, nurses, auxiliary staff, and especially his patients and their families.
For anyone that met Todd, they met an amiable man that made sure everyone’s needs around him were met prior to his own. He loved his family, friends, patients, and coworkers. He thoroughly enjoyed a good candle, music, good shoes, home cooking, adventures and the outdoors. Todd was a family man that wasn’t afraid to romp around in the mud, dirt, sand, and water with his nieces and nephews. He knew how to make sure everyone felt included, whatever the situation, as well as bring a smile to even the hardest of faces. In fact, I am sure it was on his agenda to make sure he made at least one person, if not ten, smile and laugh for the day. His devilish grin, witty sense of humor, and loving selflessness will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Todd is survived by his fiancée, Crystal Crump, of Navarre, FL; father, Gary (Laura) Chasteen of Pensacola, FL; mother, Tina Chasteen of Bossier City, LA; brothers, Michael (Tiffany) Chasteen of Natchitoches, LA; David (Brandi) Chasteen of Natchitoches, LA; Mark (Christa) Chasteen of Navarre, FL; Cade Chasteen of Natchitoches, LA; Laban (Elizabeth) Chasteen of Natchitoches, LA; sister, Ashley (Jeremy) Koss of Many, LA; half-brother, Christopher Holt of Bossier City, LA; grandmother, Sarah Chasteen of Franklin, OH; Cynthia (Wayne) Verdun of Natchitoches, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends he adored and whom adored him.
