

Wolfgang Georg Breuer of Pensacola Florida passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 6, 2026 at the age of 86. He was born on September 16, 1939 in Bremerhaven, Germany where he lived until moving to the United States in 1965. He maintained a lifelong connection with Germany despite spending most of his adult life in the United States.
After serving in the German army and having attended trade school for cabinet making, Wolfgang worked in carpentry and as landlord, building and refurbishing many rental properties. He also built homes for his family in Maine, Florida, and New York.
Wolfgang is preceded in death by his parents, Asta Braun Breuer and Georg Breuer, his sister Sonja Blackstone and her husband Ernest and their daughter Angela, and his brothers Rolfe Breuer and Ewald Schulkowsky.
He is survived by Barbara, his loving wife of sixty years, his children Kristina Croley and her husband Rex, Derek Breuer and his wife Susan, and Karin Breuer, his grandchildren Brian, Scott, Jordon, Joshua, Branden, Zachary, Jason, and Jessica, and many great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home at 1985 West Nine Mile Road on Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 1 p.m.
