Six months have passed since you woke up in the arms of your Creator. While I am incredibly sad for myself, I have hope that you are saving a mansion next to yours for me and daddy. You get to grow up with Jesus telling you about us, and not the other way around. I hope God gives you the inside scoop of siblings to come. I love and miss you more than anything, Zoeykins. Not a day goes by that I don't look at your picture. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and wish you were here. Would you be making eye contact with us? When would you have recognized us? Ana still looks for you when I play videos of you. She will look right at my phone and watch you. She misses you too. 😢

Dear Stephanie and Brian,

We are thinking of you both and asking the Lord for extra comfort in the days ahead; May you see His grace even in this great loss this side of Heaven.  Zoey is a beautiful name, and she is so very special; she is loved by so many and so are you both! We pray your faith will be made stronger through this trial, and for continued support in the weeks ahead. 

Those little toes, and sweet little face; our hearts melt every time we see her picture. We will keep her memory alive and share her story with others who may need encouragement.  

Thank you for staying faithful to the Lord even through the hardest days you have ever faced. We are sad we could not be there to celebrate Zoey, but know we will be praying and thinking of you. We pray in the near future to be able to hug on you and hear more about sweet Zoey.

Drew and Rhea are friends of ours through Church. We gave birth to Emily, also Trisomy 18, in 1982. We learned of her short life expectancy before bringing her home after a 6 week hospital stay. She was with us for 6 months and 28 days. We were blessed with 3 more children and now have 7 grandchildren.

Though your hearts are full of pain, seek the Lord's peace, for it will pass all understanding.  I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  May her life continue to touch others as she continues life in heaven.  I am praying for His peace in your life right now. 

Stephen and I were blessed to meet sweet Zoey when she was just 3 days old. She looked like a perfect princess doll. I loved how tiny her mouth was and the sweet little sounds that came out when she protested her nurse changing her. It was wonderful to see Stephanie in the role of Mommy, she may have had just 22 days to do so buy she fit the role with amazing easy. As hard as it is to say goodbye to Zoey here on earth I pray Brian and Stephanie can find sweet peace in knowing they will see their sweet girl again!

Please know that we ae lifting you up in prayer.  It is hard for us to understand the "whys" of this life...the hard parts of this life.  And surely you have experienced one of those hardest "whys."  That is when God's Word whispers verses such as, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Zoey was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Robin. She is survived by her parents, Brian and Stephanie; paternal grandmother Janice; maternal grandparents Mark and Jill; uncles, aunts, and cousins: Drew, Rhea, and cousin Madden; Dan, Karen, and cousins Mikayla and Gabriel; Kathrine; Mark and cousin Kenley. Zoey also has many extended family members including her paternal great grandmother Evelyn and her maternal great grandmother Joan.
