Dr.Wetchler was a wonderful person he will always be in my heart I love him dearly he cared for my granny now he is with his beautiful wife for life.

Bernie Wetchler may be gone from this earth, but his legacy of advocacy for physician Anesthesiologists and patients goes on. We met about 1989 when I was a resident at UIC and he came as a visiting professor. Many of us immediately engaged and have stayed engaged in our state, national and international societies. He'll be well remembered among the many he inspired.

The Rockhold are happy he is in Heaven with his lovely wife. Sad because we will miss him so much. He was one of the coolest people I had ever known. Thank you for sharing your mom and dad with our world...I loved them very much....God bless my dear family Lord....

Bernie was one of the shining, smiling jewels in the extended Peoria family that I joined when I married Sari Gluckin...always inquisitive, funny, and generous with his love. I will miss him. My love and condolences to Joe, Diane, Sherry and their families.

To the descendants of my dear friend, Bernie, who I first met in 1973 when I first came to Peoria.we spent many hours together in the operating room, during which times covered many interesting discussions. Every year after he left Peoria, he sent me a Hannukah Greeting. We talked from time to time as well. 
One of the wonderful memories is as follows. Bernie was the first Roastee at the annual party at the home of Stu Roberts. The party was hosted by Dr. And Mrs. Stu Roberts as well as the Anesthesia Associates. The obligation of the roaster was to arrive at the event in a unique way. Bernie had the Peoria Heights High Scholl Band lead Joria and Bernie to the Roberts house.
