Bernice P. Perry Kilgore

She was born Oct. 21, 1923 in Benton, IL to Edwin W. and Nettie (Morris) Perry. She married Wiley Walter Kilgore in Danville, IL on Aug. 18, 1951. He survives.

Also surviving are six children, Janet (Bill) Miller of Lenox, IA, Gary Kilgore of Peoria, Nancy J. Kilgore of Peoria, Brian W. (Lyn) Kilgore of Hanna City, Karen S. (Ralph) Sands of Omaha, NE, Jeffrey M. (Susan) Kilgore of Oceanside, CA; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Nona Sprouls; and one brother, Loyd Perry. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bernice worked as a legal secretary before starting her family with Wiley. She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church in Peoria.

She was a member of the Cubs Boosters and was a huge Cubs fan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Chapel. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
