Beverly Ann Stear

Beverly Ann (Richmond) Stear, age 84, of Hanna City, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Graham Memorial Hospital in Canton. She was born in Pekin on March 15, 1940, to parents Charles and Rosamond (Haney) Richmond. She married Harold LeRoy Stear on April 20, 1957, in Hanna City.

Surviving are four children, Melody Wiseman of Elmwood, IL, Harold (Bud) Stear, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, Kelly Larkin of Hanna City, IL, and Gregory Stear (Mindy) of Washington, IL; sisters, Kathy Richmond (Scott Fosdick) of Evanston, IL, and Rita Pogioli (Rex) of Marquette Heights, IL, grandchildren; Aaron Sarff, Amber Logsdon, Alec Wiseman, Alexandria (Lexi) Stear, and Jonathan and Kristopher Larkin; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Adam Sarff, Asher Logsdon, Kylie and Kamilla Wiseman, and Christopher Larkin, three step great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; brother Charles Richmond, infant daughter Beverly Stear, sister Susan Richmond-Zerfas, and son-in-law Donald Larkin.

Beverly attended high school in Farmington, IL. She retired from OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered in numerous capacities with the Family Motor Coach Association, Heritage Senior Homes and the Hanna City Park District. Beverly enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, flower arranging, cake decorating, bowling, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Smithville Cemetery in Hanna City, IL. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago.
