Carl H. Reichel

He was born July 13, 1942 in Peoria to Otto C. and Ernestine E. (Otto) Reichel. He married Sandra “Sandy” K. Woith on November 24, 1965 in Peoria. She passed away on August 1, 2002 in Bloomington.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son Otto R. Reichel, one grandson, and one great-granddaughter.

Surviving are his daughters Wendy J. Farley of Tulsa, OK, Robin R. Durain of Cedar Rapids, IA, Technical Sergeant Kathryn (Gerald) Hutchens of O’Fallon, IL; three sisters Dorothy Richolson of Lewisville, TX, Theresa Sandell of Hoffman Estates, IL, Nancy Sweet of Woodstock, GA; and four grandchildren.

Carl was employed for Caterpillar as an Engine Inspector for over 25 years retiring in 1992. He was an avid UAW and NRA member.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday May 28, 2010 at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ahes will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery #2 in Varna, IL following the memorial services on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
