West Peoria – Carol E. Johnson, 88, of West Peoria, IL passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at O.S.F. Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born July 22, 1926 in Peoria, IL to George and Ethel (Heston) Hawton. She married Paul L. Markle and later Robert Johnson, both precede her in death.
Carol worked for Bergner’s Distribution Center for eighteen and a half years before retiring in 1988.
Surviving are her two sons; Paul (Judy) Markle of Tucson, AZ and Keith (Sheryl) Markle of Hopewell, IL, step-son Shawn Johnson of Gladstone, MO, step-daughter Connie (Mike) Flanagan of Washington, IL, four grandsons, four step-grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a niece, and her nephew Raymond Hawton. Carol was also preceded in death by her two brothers.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
