Cheri Lynn Lines

Cheri Lynn Lines, age 56, of Farmington, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at 4:35 p.m. Cheri was born Sep. 8, 1959 in Peoria to Robert and Lavica (Olds) Wirsching. She married Michael A. Lines, Sr. Nov. 27, 1976. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter, and one sister, Debbie Ann Wirsching, who died shortly after birth on May 7, 1961. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, two sons: Michael A. Lines Jr. of Farmington, Robert T. (Jesse) Lines of Yates City, and five grandchildren: Robert Jr., Theodore, Alexis, Bethany, and Christian. She attended Manual High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was baptized and married. Cheri was a devoted wife, loving mother and devoted Bible student who read the Holy Bible from cover to cover. She was an accomplished fisherwoman, poker player, and enjoyed betting the ponies while having a cold beer. Cheri grew up as an only child who married into a very large family who welcomed her with opened arms and made her feel like a sister that was loved dearly. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
