

He was born June 28, 1927 in Fairbury, IL to Eli and Lillian (Zimmerman) Miller. He married Eleanor “Tiny” Terry March 14, 1970 in Peoria. She survives along with one daughter, Sharon (Curt) Catton of Washington, one son, Ricky (Beth) Miller of Washington, six grandchildren: Chad (Carrie) Andrews of Peoria, Larry Andrews of Peoria, David (Amanda) Andrews of Washington, Shelby Catton of Washington, Jesse (Michelle Gunnar) Miller of Pekin, Eli (Terressa) Miller of Bartonville, four great-grandchildren, three sisters: Betty Presley of Normal, Marilyn Ayers of Washington, Bonnie (Nolan) Myers of Eureka, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris was a United States Air Force veteran serving from 1948 until 1952. Following his time in the service Chris worked for Tractor Supply in Peoria for 15 years until 1977. He then was a courier for SmithKline Labs for 15 years, and then worked as a courier for the Lab at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
He was a lifetime member of Peoria American Legion Post 2, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, member of the Izaak Walton League in Spring Bay, and was very active in the Color Guard with Post 2.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Rosewood in Peoria for all of their kindness and love to Chris.
Funeral services will be Monday July 30, 2012 at 12 Noon at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time at Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with Military Rites.
Memorials may be made to the OSF Children’s Hospital.
