
He was born October 14, 1926 in Walnut, IL to Alvin and Minnie (Otto) Hasenyager. He married Lois Joanne Meyer on August 31, 1949 in Manito, IL. She died October 4, 2001 in Peoria.
Surviving are his two sons, Jim (Charlene) Hasenyager of Huntsville, Utah, Robert (Marlene) Hasenyager of Farmington, Utah; and three daughters, Carol (Brian Cooley) Hasenyager of Mequon, WI, Nancy (Donald) McIntyre of Morgantown, West Virginia and Peggy Jo Pillischafske of Washington, IL. He is also survived by his brother Gilbert Hasenyager of Eureka, IL; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Clarence graduated from Walnut High School and Eureka College. He taught school in Minier; was an elementary school principal in Metamora, an elementary school superintendent in Princeton, principal of the elementary school in Sunnyland where the school library is named after him and later served as superintendent of schools at Balyki.
He was an ever hopeful, but perpetually disappointed Cubs fan.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Lutheran Hillside Village for the wonderful care they provided and to Dr. George Gilbert and his staff.
Cremation will be accorded. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Burial of his ashes will be in Parkview Cemetery.
