

Cleo Dailey, Sr., 85, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his home. Cleo was born on April 20, 1929 in Wynne, Arkansas to Tad and Willie B. (Mosley) Dailey. He married Emma L. Davis on December 25, 1954 in Peoria. She preceded him in death in 2012. Cleo was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers and one grandson. Cleo is survived by his children, Edward Bell, Rev. Cleo Dailey, Jr., Michael R. (Brenda) Dailey, Deborah J. (Curtis) Easley, Sharon Humbles of Fishers, IN, Tammy (Tommy) Harris, Curtis Dailey, Calvin (Gina) Dailey, Marla (Glenn) Randle of Indianapolis, IN, Shirril Lawson and Sherry Dailey; four siblings; Charlene Williams, Johnny Dailey, Doris Jones and Preston Lee (Ruthie) Hamer. 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives. Cleo served in the U.S. Army, Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He worked at Armour Packing for 20 years, later working for Caterpillar Inc. retiring after 30 years in 1992. Cleo had many hobbies. He loved to hunt, fish and tending his garden every year. He was also a barber for the neighborhood. Cleo was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather brother, uncle, and friend. He truly will be missed. Home going services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria with visitation beginning at 9 am and funeral services at 11 am. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with military honors.
